1969 W Code 427 Side Oiler Cross Bolt Mains Engine. The block date code is December 12 1968. This block is bored .030 oversize. From all the Information I have found These engines were only available as an option if you wanted to order your vehicle with Special Drive Train. Some have said they were never installed by Ford but I have seen information stating otherwise and that they have seen several. Doesn't really matter, it is still a 1969 427. The engine was a Hydraulic Flat Tappet Engine with a Cast Steel Crankshaft with Grooved Mains and casting number C4AE. It used 428 Cobra Jet Heads. The heads I have appear to be fresh and have some light porting and only need a good rinse to use but, if you are like me, I always take to the machine shop to be checked out anyway. Plus, not many guys are going to use Flat Tappet Cams these days so the spring pressure should be checked for the cam you choose.
I also have the crank that is .010 .010 and Stock Rods along with other parts.
I have Rocker Arms, Flywheel, Cam Retainer Plate, and some other misc. pieces I will include.
I don’t know how many different intakes could have been offered. I have a 428 Cobra Jet Intake and a 428 Police Interceptor Aluminum Intake but I’m selling with a True Shelby C7ZX 2x4 Intake and Real Shelby Cast Valve Covers and they have Shelby America cast in the underside.
